Top FAQs
Can people that don’t work for my company join a meeting?
Yes. When they click the meeting invite link, they will be invited to download the Meetings app—they won’t need to become a RingCentral customer. Participants can also join from their smartphone or tablets—all they need to do is download the free mobile app. RingCentral customers and non RingCentral customers have full access to the web share and camera options within RingCentral Meetings.
Do I have to have a webcam to join a RingCentral Meeting video call?
No. You can still listen to the audio, view screen shares, and share your own desktop or documents.
Can I start or join a video meeting from any country?
International participants can join your RingCentral Meeting by using a local dial-in numbers. View the full list of local dial-in numbers for all supported countries. This link is also included in email invitations sent from the RingCentral desktop app.
Can I turn off my camera so it doesn't display me to the attendees?
Yes. When you start or join a meeting, you can turn off your own camera by clicking on the video icon in the lower left. You can also mute your microphone by clicking on speaker icon in the lower left.
Can I share documents from my smartphone?
Yes. You can share photos from your photo library, web pages by entering a URL, and files from your Box or Dropbox cloud storage accounts.
Can I increase the number of attendees per meeting?
Each user gets up to 4 attendees per user on US and Canadian Office Standard plans; 25 attendees on US and Canadian Office Premium plans; and 50 attendees on US, Canadian and UK Enterprise plans. You can upgrade your RingCentral Office plan by contacting your account manager or by calling 800-720-5758 for more information.
How do I know if I have RingCentral Meetings?
RingCentral Meetings is available on all US Office plans; on Enterprise and Unlimited Toll Free UK Office plans; and on Standard, Premium, and Enterprise for Canadian Office plans. Contact your account representative or call 800-720-5758 if you would like to make changes to your plan or to find out how your business can benefit from RingCentral Meetings.
